How corridorEX works
Three things decide whether a cross-border trade goes well: whether the supplier is who they say they are, whether the price is really the price, and whether anyone owns the steps after the handshake. Here is how we handle each.
What “verified” actually means
A single badge is worthless — it says nothing about what was checked or whether it is still true. Every verification we hold records the type of claim, who verified it, the date, the supporting document and the expiry. Supplier profiles show those components, not a tier name.
Business verified
Company registration and tax number checked against the issuing registry or the original certificate.
Documents verified
Export licence and certifications checked, each with an issue date and an expiry we track.
Factory audited
Someone visited the premises — ours or a named third party such as SGS — and confirmed the plant, machinery and capacity.
Trade record
Orders completed through corridorEX, with on-time delivery and inspection defect rates we measured ourselves.
Why we compare on landed cost
One mill quotes CNY per metre CIF Moscow. The next quotes USD per yard EXW Wuxi. On paper the second looks cheaper. It is not — it excludes freight, insurance and clearance, which the buyer then pays.
corridorEX converts every quote to one currency and one unit, adds the charges each supplier listed, and shows the delivered cost per unit. Where a supplier’s terms leave a cost with you, we name it on their card instead of quietly assuming it is zero. The arithmetic is done by code against stored FX rates and unit conversion tables — never estimated by a language model.
How suppliers are ranked
A fixed score out of 100. Specification match (25), category depth (15), proven export history to your destination (15), capacity and minimum order (12), verification level (10), measured response rate (10), on-time delivery record (8) and price-band fit (5).
You can open the breakdown on any match. We do not sell position, and we never will — a marketplace that sells visibility has a ranking that serves whoever paid, which is exactly why buyers on other platforms message twenty suppliers instead of three.
Suppliers quote before they register
When your request matches a factory, they get a link with your quantity, specs and destination — and a form. No account, no wall. Most respond the same day because there is nothing standing between them and a real order. They can create an account afterwards, once there is something worth keeping.
